What to expect and how to prepare
Spring equinox marks the moment of balance between light and dark, after which the daily light increases in the northern hemisphere. Nature responds with the awakening of new buds, blossoms and sprouts as fresh green and spring color pops out everywhere. As part of the earth's body, our own bodies and psyches also sense this strong impulse towards the light. The seasonal shifts as especially potent moments to remember that to be human is to be an integral part of the living web of life on our beloved planet. You're invited to join a small group of women in greeting this spring equinox with an enlivening daily movement meditation. What to expect in this daily 20 minute practice: ~ Awaken the Body We begin with a standing warm up and qi gong movements Activate life energy Attune with the power and joy of spring Bring spaciousness and fluidity to the body ~ Silent Meditation We complete the practice sitting or standing in stillness Anchor into heart energy Balance the nervous system Start the day calm & grounded Tip: The movements are easy to learn and continue on your own after the week - I love taking them outside at sunrise!
